Heavy Blarney
Kia ora! Heavy Blarney plays Celtic rock from Te Papaioea (Palmerston North), Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Bing Turkby sings lead vocals, and plays Irish tenor banjo, accordion and guitar. He also is the musical director. Paul Turner plays whistles, fiddle, and electronic bagpipes (redpipes), which add a haunting, authentic Celtic vibe. Adam Crawford contributes powerful drums that compel you to get up and shake your stuff. Adrian Fou keeps things anchored on the bass. Jeff Carr provides the guitar pyrotechnics. Karl Johansen adds a spicy mix of various percussion instruments in his inimitable flamboyant style.
